Jesus declared, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”
— Matthew 22: 37-39.
Clay Robert Houseman, otherwise known as Robert Houseman, was born in South Africa in 1928. His birth name was Robert. (“Bob” or “Bobby,” neither of which he liked very much.) He felt called to study the Book of Revelation at the age of 19. At around the same time, he also felt a strong desire to move to the United States and become an American. His American dream came true in 1975, when the Houseman family moved to the United States from Canada. Some years later, he had a vivid dream that God molded him out of clay, bent over him and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and ever afterward he called himself Clay Houseman. (And no one called him “Bob” or “Bobby” again.) He started work on Target: Israel in 1986, believing the Holy Spirit inspired him to write the book in order to prepare humanity for the Return of Christ. The original title was Great Predictions About To Unfold! Later, he decided to go with Target: Israel, as he felt that title was much more focused. (And less sensational.) The first edition of his book was published in 2006. A number of revisions followed. He considered the Book of Revelation to be the ultimate worst-case scenario survival handbook with the best-case scenario outcome, a step-by-step Apocalypse survival guide. Target: Israel embodies over 50 years of devoted study.
He was also working on a companion book to Target: Israel called The Emerald Christ: Hope for Mankind During the Revelation.
Clay passed into glory June 14th, 2016. He believed this generation will see Jesus return. He was busy working on another revision of Target: Israel when he died, completed posthumously in 2022. He completed his autobiography, titled A Rolling Stone Gathers No Moss.
Our mission at the T.I website is to continue spreading Clay’s message to empower you with knowledge and faith so that you can navigate the challenges of life, inspired by the teachings of the Book of Revelation and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Together, we’ll explore how to thrive in our very uncertain times–so uncertain that they may indeed be the harbingers of the End Times–holding onto the light of Christ, he who guides us through the darkness.
